Description
I am a huge fan of Blanc de Noirs champagne and so I am delighted to add Ridgeview Blanc de Noirs English sparkling wine to the portfolio. Produced sustainably (certified) in only the best vintages from champagne grapes, Pinot Noir (54%) and Pinot Meunier (46%), grown just below the South Downs ridge on similar soils to the Champagne region, this is an amazing sparkling wine that’s full of apple, red berry and red cherry fruit flavours with ginger and toasty notes. A lovely glass of bubbly!
Food Pairing
Drink on its own as a “contemplation wine” or with canapés, smoked salmon and other oily fish like mackerel, caviar, shellfish including lobster. Other great matches are chicken, turkey, mushrooms, truffles and, according to the producers, duck which makes sense since Pinot Noir and duck are great friends!
Serve at: 10 – 12°C
Producer's Notes
“Our Blanc de Noir is only made in the best vintages with a combination of our finest pinot grapes. A deep golden colour with a persistent fine stream of bubbles. Rich, earthy red fruit aromas are followed by a complex toasted palate. The finish is long-lasting and beautifully balanced.”

92 points & Silver Medal – Decanter World Wine Awards 2021
“Baked plum and rhubarb aromas with a streak of smoke. Tangy lemon- and orange-focused acidity, chalky mouthfeel, full-fruit finish.”
