"What a Treat!". This wine was my greatest find on one of my wine hunts - and after a long day tasting it was - and remains - sublime (and this from someone who is not the world's greatest fan of Sauvignon Blanc).
It is a classic Bordeaux Blanc from Pessac-Léognan said to be among France's greatest white wines, 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Sémillon.
It has a medium to full body but also a crisp acidity which makes it really lively. Aromas and flavours abound - citrus fruit - lemon, grapefruit and nectarine - with honey and a minerality which is the result of the deep gravelly & chalky soils that the 30+ year old vines grow in. This wine coats the mouth with its silky smooth texture and has a really long finish. I love it!
This wine will go well with fish and seafood but I can also see it as a great addition to the Christmas dinner table; its fuller body will not be beaten by the richness of the food and all the different flavours

"Full-bodied but with lots of tension and excitement. Really racy and punchy. Quite light."

"Fresh and engaging, with a bright tarragon and verbena frame around a mix of white peach, star fruit and lemon sorbet notes. Keeps good energy through the finish."
