Fuller tasting notes will come soon but in summary, "What a Treat!"
. This wine was my greatest find on a recent wine hunt - and after a long day tasting it was - and remains - sublime (and this from someone who is not the world's greatest fan of Sauvignon Blanc).
It is a classic Bordeaux Blanc
from Pessac-Léognan said to be among France's greatest white wines
80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Sémillon Medium to full body
but with a crisp acidity which makes it really livelyCitrus fruit - lemon, grapefruit and nectarine - with honey and a minerality
which is the result of the deep gravelly & chalky soils that the 30+ year old vines grow in.
This wine coats the mouth with its silky smooth texture
and has a really long finish
. I love it!
More detail to be added but in summary this wine will go well with fish and seafood but I can also see it as a great addition to the Christmas dinner table; its fuller body will not be beaten by the richness of the food and all the different flavours.

This often under-rated white has advanced a notch or two this vintage. The nose has discreet oaky and apple aromas; the palate is rich, creamy and dense without being heavy. Quite powerful."

"Full-bodied but with lots of tension and excitement. Really racy and punchy. Quite light."

"Fresh and engaging, with a bright tarragon and verbena frame around a mix of white peach, star fruit and lemon sorbet notes. Keeps good energy through the finish."
